Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Triggers fears Amidst Hike Rumour

Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma has triggered anxiety and fear among the student community over the news of a purported increase in school fees for students, especially in the college of medicine and the faculty of law.

 

 

The news, however unconfirmed yet as at the time of posting  was aired by a popular school Facebook blogger AAUOnlineNews on Facebook who said it was actually a topic of discussion in the just concluded congress where the Special Intervention Team made it known to the school senior staffs.

 

 

It was also reported that the Edo state government has no intention to review upward the subvention fee of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma which was #41 million and said to be meagre in running the school affairs.

In a statement which was tagged to one Mr Osakue who was said to have stood in for the SIT chairman,

He said;

“The university’s College of Medicine and Faculty of Law has been identified by SIT as centres of excellence where students would pay school fees of more than N2 million per academic session with effect from next academic session.”

 

 

 

The workers at the the meeting was also reported to have engaged in a war of words with Mr Osakue whose attitude was tagged as a “flagrant display of ignorance, coarseness, tyranny, oppression and suppression.

A message was sent to the school’s Public Relations Officer and official SIT mail but none has been responded or returned as at the time of report.
