1. The Polytechnic Ibadan
Do you know that Poly Ibadan is a state polytechnic?
Mehn this shit almost started an argument.
The state-owned polytechnic in Ibadan has long been adopting no-exams post UTME method. This is called on screening.
Aspirants are expected to participate in the online screening exercise. They will be required to buy and fill the form online while supplying their O’level results and JAMB scores.
The Polytechnic usually draws certain departmental cut off marks – generally from the JAMB scores. It’s based on this and available spaces that determine if the polytechnic will offer you a space on campus.
It’s worth mentioning that you won’t be required to come for any physical screening – checking of documents on campus until you’re finally offered admission – when the admitted students’ biometric registration will start.
More so, experience has shown that this polytechnic usually demands higher UTME score form their applicants especially for their competitive courses such as Mass Communication, Science Laboratory Technology, Public Administration etc.
Hence, to win their hearts for such courses, you will need 200 and above. Meanwhile, you can do away with 140/150 and above for generally less competitive courses such as Music, Fashion, Local Government studies, etc
.
2. Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki Oyo State
The Polytechnic is situated in Saki Oyo State. This was part of the then Polytechnic of Ibadan. Then, it was Poly-Ibadan Saki Campus. Now independent, the Polytechnic still follows the same procedures followed by its mother.
Therefore, if you chose them in UTME or you’re considering changing of institutions to them, you’re not going to write post UTME tests of any kind. Just be on the lookout for the sales of post UTME form. Register and get all your credentials ready for physical screening. In other words, they will call you to visit the campus for the checking of your results and other credentials.
3. Ibarapa Polytechnic Eruwa, Oyo State
Just like the Oke Ogun Poly, Ibarapa Polytechnic was formerly Poly-Ibadan Eruwa Campus. The school is, as well as independent now.
And if you’re a prospective candidate, they won’t conduct post UTME rather only the online screening and later the physical screening.

4. Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation Ibadan
The federal polytechnic in Ibadan Oyo State adopts screening only admission exercise. Aspirants are therefore required to fill an online form to obtain their post UTME form. After this, they should be on campus for further directives.
5. Osun State Polytechnic Iree
The state-owned polytechnic in Iree Osun State doesn’t conduct post UTME for their National Diploma (ND) applicants. They only offer you a space based on your performance in the online post UTME screening exercise.
The post UTME screening excise doesn’t adopt the use of computer-based exams. All you’re to do as soon the sales of form starts is to fill the online form – supplying your O’level result and UTME score. Your performance score will be made available to you as soon as you submit the online registration.
Meanwhile, you will be invited for physical checking of your claimed credentials before the admission list can be released in your favour.

6. Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke
Also, Osun State-owned polytechnic offers admissions by screening instead of writing post UTME.
Aspirants are expected to obtain their admission form after they might be chosen the institution in UTME or done a change of institution to them. Then, register – filling their SSCE results and UTME score.
All you need to be offered admission is required O’level subject grades in 5 subjects relevant to the proposed course and the cut-off mark declared by the management. If you satisfy these conditions, keep following your admission status on CAPS.
7. Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun
Still in Osun State, this college of education doesn’t conduct pots UTME entrance exams for her aspirants. When you choose the college or change to them, you’re required to visit their admission portal to fill the admission form as soon as their post UTME screening form is on sale.
After the submission, you’re to print the acknowledgment slip as evidence of your completed registration. Then, be on the lookout for SMS inviting you for physical checking of your credentials on campus.

8. Federal Polytechnic Offa
As for the Federal Poly in Offa Kwara State, aspirants are expected to obtain the screening form online, fill it and submit. Then, they are to appear in school for screening exercise which involves the submission of your credentials including JAMB and SSCE results.
After this, candidates are keep following admission list updates of the polytechnic and their JAMB CAPS status to know when they have been offered admission finally.

9. Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo
This college is two-in-one. As they run degree admission so do offer NCE courses.
When their post UTME form is out, you’re to fill the form online while submitting details of your SSCE Results and UTME score. A few days later or immediately after submission, your total Post UTME score will be available for you to print. This score will be calculated based on points grading system designed by the management on the UTME score and O’level subjects grade from 5 relevant subjects with your proposed course.
However, they didn’t make the grading system public. Hence, you may not know how they do their calculation.
History has it that the university/college of education was used to conduct post UTME entrance exams until recently (until 2017 to be precise). Hence, aspirants should be on the lookout for any possible return to the old way.

10. Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo
The college of education uses screening instead of the post UTME tests for their aspirants.
Candidates are expected to obtain the college’s screening form when on sales. Fill all necessary to information online; including the O’level and UTME score – on which the admission offer will be based.
Candidates are usually invited to the campus for physical checking/screening of their results and other credentials. You must partake in this as well and be on the lookout for the admission lists.
Conclusion
For the polytechnics and colleges you can enter without Post UTME, you will be assessed based on your O’level results and UTME score. After meeting up with UTME cut off mark as drawn by the management and the 5 required credit passes or higher in your SSCE, you’re certain to be offered admission.
Your chance to gain admission depends so much on the two factors above and the rate of competition for the available capacity of the institution.
