Beginning/Ending Date For JAMB Part-Time/DL/Sandwich

Beginning/Ending Date For JAMB Part-Time/DL/Sandwich?

Part-time registration with JAMB is now required for any prospective part-time admission seeker. Schools that offer part-time programs, distance learning, and sandwich courses advise their students to obtain the forms needed to process their admission. Students, on the other hand, should be aware of when the form will be closed.

Is there a deadline for JAMB part-time applications? If so, when will it happen?

In this post, I will discuss the JAMB part-time registration deadline and whether there is a time limit for applying.

Before completing the school’s application form, you can register for JAMB Part-Time.
If you’re wondering whether you can apply for the JAMB part-time form before obtaining the application form for your preferred institution, the answer is yes.

In fact, it makes no difference if you go to the nearest JAMB office to purchase the JAMB part-time application form before picking up the part-time, distance-learning, or sandwich form of the school you want.

I feel compelled to inform you of this because most people are accustomed to obtaining the school’s form prior to obtaining the JAMB part-time/distance learning/sandwich form. It’s perfectly fine if you do the latter first.

After obtaining the school’s form, you can also register for the JAMB Part-Time Form.
As previously stated, this is standard procedure. You should begin working on registering with the JAMB as soon as you have completed your proposed institution’s daily/weekend part-time, distance-learning, or sandwich registration on the school’s portal.

JAMB offices are always open to register candidates interested in part-time admission. Visit anyone near you to register and submit the slips to be given to the school, as stated on the school portal.

Is there a deadline for the JAMB Part-Time, Distance-Learning, and Sandwich Applications?

In fact, the JAMB part-time/distance learning/sandwich registration, like any other JAMB regularizing activity, has no set closing date. This registration is available all year!

Allow me to explain.

Daily part-time forms of various schools, as well as distance learning forms, sandwich forms, and so on, all of which require JAMB registration, may be sold at any time of the year, as the school management deems appropriate.

As a result, the registration window for JAMB part-time forms (as well as other non-UTME registrations) remains open throughout the year.

A school may direct prospective students, both new and returning, to the JAMB office at any time to register. They will be attended to without delay.

For example, the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre recently instructed three groups of students to apply with the following update.

Dear Students, This is to inform learners who were admitted in the 2018/2019, 2020/2021, and 2021/2022 academic sessions that the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has integrated the admission process of the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre (UIDLC) into the JAMB portal. This will allow UIDLC students to be mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or to receive a Certificate of Exemption. In light of the foregoing, you must register at any JAMB Accredited Centre. The registration process has been given a two-week deadline. Learners must submit all required documents by Monday, January 23, 2023.

However, if you are an applicant who has yet to be offered part-time admission (perhaps you are about to apply or you have already applied but have not yet been offered admission), please check your school portal or advertisement for the form to see if there is any instruction stating a specific time range to fill out the JAMB part-time, distance-learning, or sandwich form.

For example, according to the latest update from the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Center, the management has set a specific date, “Monday, 23 January 2023,” for its candidates to complete the JAMB distance learning form.

According to Osun State Polytechnic Iree.

This is to inform the general public, particularly those seeking admission into Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Part-Time programmes, that only individuals who have duly registered for Part-Time with JAMB and have submitted the printed JAMB Part-Time form to the Institution will be considered for admission.”

The implication is that if you must be admitted, you must complete the JAMB part-time registration process before the management sorts names to be released for admission.

Other polytechnics, such as the Federal Polytechnic Offa and the Federal Polytechnic Ede, are in the same boat.

Conclusion
It’s safe to say that registering with JAMB before obtaining the admission form for your proposed institution’s part-time, distance-learning, sandwich, or similar programme forms makes sense and expedites your admission process. You can do it right away after obtaining the latter.

If you have already been admitted but did not register for the JAMB part-time form, distance learning, or sandwich, you can still do so now or as soon as your school instructs you to.
