Will LASUSTECH Do Post UTME or Screening?

This question must be answered in order to assist more people. A few aspirants have inquired whether the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) will conduct post-JAMB tests for aspirants or if the polytechnic will rely solely on the screening method.

According to a guy who left a comment on one of my posts,

Does Lagos State University of Science and Technology hold fresher, screening, or post-UTME exams?

Apparently, the guy wanted to know which one to mentally prepare for if he had to consider the polytechnic while filling out the JAMB form or during the change of institution process.

Consider reading the post “Post UTME/DE (2021/2022): Exams or Screening?” if you are confused about what post-UTME and screening are, their relationship, and differences.

LASUSTECH only conducts online screening.
The Lagos State University of Science and Technology has consistently used online screening instead of post-UTME/physical screening in recent years. The polytechnic’s screening process only requires aspirants to fill out forms online while providing their JAMB score, O’level subjects, and grades, which the polytechnic will use to determine whether they deserve to be admitted or not.

In other words, rather than holding a post-UTME to determine whether or not to offer admission to aspirants, the management of this polytechnic relies on candidates’ UTME performance as well as meeting the required SSCE subjects for their proposed courses.

Read on to learn more about how the polytechnic will conduct this online screening and eventually grant admission.

The nature of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology’s post-UTME screening (LASUSTECH)

The sale of the polytechnic’s post-UTME screening form will be announced directly on the school portal.

The screening forms must be obtained by the candidates. Fill in your bio-data, SSCE subjects, and grades, as well as your UTME score, in this section.

After submitting their application, candidates must check their status. What you should look for is whether your JAMB score and subject combination in O’level and UTME are in good standing.

If everything is in order, candidates should keep an eye out for the polytechnic’s admission lists when the time comes. You will be offered admission through both the JAMB and the school portals.

After that, you must pay the acceptance fee before proceeding to the polytechnic’s campus for physical screening and updated documentation.
